[Fasheem]

I have a huge comic collection, most of which I haven't read yet. And even the ones I have read were confusing because I'm missing so many... what's my point again?... oh yeah. Nightcrawler is my only favorite and the only character where I have to know everything. So this is my kinda sorta like them list.

And that's all I can think of... except for Ranma 1/2. I don't really like manga stuff but that book... it's just so absurd, I love it.

Yet another great topic!!

Shadowcat - my favorite! Since all of you know this, I'll move on.

Other Marvel favorites (besides NC): Rachel, Magik, Chamber, Husk, Dazzler, Spidey, Mary Jane -Gambit, Wolvie, and Rogue have their good moments.

Other characters: Sailor Venus, Barbara Gordon as Batgirl

Although I haven't read it, the art in Warlands looks INCREDIBLE!!

Ah man, how could I forget Spiral? She's hella fresh, yo. Sweet Jesus, where did that come from?

I hear ya, Fasheem. I realized that a lot of the characters I like I only like because of their association with Nightcrawler. He's pretty much the only one I'm committed to. Except maybe Rorschach, but there were only 12 issues of him.

Captain Britain was pretty cool in Excalibur, at least when Davis was writing him. He came off as kind of funny and hapless. I haven't read his series at all, though. Alan Moore wrote it for a while, didn't he? And speaking of Alan Moore, V from 'V for Vendetta' is also a truly inspired character.

There, I think I'm really done now.

OOO I like Elfquest too. My fave is Skywise. I really think he should have been the star. (oh I made a funny, "star" get it?)
Another fantasy series I like is A Distant Soil, although I havent read enough to pick a favorite.
Other x characters:
Storm, although I liked her best when she was punk.
Gambit, I didn't like him at first. He seemed to be nothing more than a macho poser and Rogue's boyfriend and they'd do nothing but sob about how they couldn't make any nooky together. Then when I tried out his title, I decided I liked the guy. Stupid ass Marvel!! Now he's back to being Rogue's mopey boyfriend.
I always liked the Alphans, Northstar and Aurora. Nice to have Northy in the x-men. I hope he stays.
Wolfsbane, although I don't think she's very interesting, I've just always liked werewolves
Wolverine, yeah I badmouth him on occasion, because he gets damned annoying sometimes, but he's pretty damn cool.

I also like Dr. Strange.

I have read other titles from other publishers, some I like, but the characters don't stick with me like the one's I've mentioned.


Other publishers:
Well, the standard DC superheroes are just too old-fashioned for my tastes, although I do think Green Lantern looks cool, but I was really into Swampthing way back when. I can't say I enjoyed the title, but it was something that facinated me, like a dead animal or a car accident. Somtimes it would turn my stomach, but I kept reading. I wish I hadn't missed out on the Invisibles or Sandman. It was during a time when I wasn't reading comics. They sound really interesting. Sometimes I contemplate looking for back issues.

I've tried Tranmetropolitan, because of the glowing praise I've read about it, but it just didn't do anything for me.

I also sample some manga-esque stuff now and then, because I like that art style.

I have to admit I liked Gambit's solo book. He was funny and smooth and you just couldn't help liking him.

Every time I see Doc I think of Vincent Price! I just can't help it. It's a good thing because I'm a huge Vincent Price fan but I just see him as the perfect Strange. Anybody ever seen The Raven? That's Dr. Strange to me! (only Strange is more competant) My SO is a huge Defenders fan and he gets the giggles whenever I mention the Strange/Price connection.

The rest of the MU,I always liked Spider-Man and Hawkeye.

DCU,I dont know as much about them but I the Martian Manhunter always appealed to me.Maybe its because we both like oreos.I wonder what his sign is?*ahem*

Alternative characters would be Katchoo and David from SIP fame.

*Makes a face* This is hard! I've actually read very little in the way of American comics - most of my 5 boxes o' comics is translated manga...

Nightcrawler's one of the only characters in American comics who really... grabbed me.

But then again, Rorschach really kicks ass.
